53rd Merdeka!

Last night, the Hari Merdeka countdown was in front of the Big School building. The countdown and celebration were done moderately so as to respect the holy month of Ramadhan. Though moderate, it was so much meaningful and memorable. Me and the rest of the collegians even sang the song, Suria.

Suria

Suria muncul di pagi hari,
Kita bangun sederap kaki,
Menara bangsa akan kita bina,
Perkasa tiada rebah lagi.

Mentari sudah ada di sini,
Pasti bersinar seribu tahun lagi,
Biar berhembus angin sangka kala,

Malam pasti tiada datang.

Kita sudah tiada perlu tidur kerna mimpi ada di depan mata,
Peluh jernih berganti keringat,
Bersinar bagai mutiara.

Rimba akan terus hijau,
Unggas riang ria berkicau,
Air jernih meriak di kali,
Udara nyaman tenang d
i rongga.

Darah kembali berharga,
Merah buat penyeri muka,
Embun jernih meniti di bibir,
Kasih sayang jadi mi
lik semua.

Kita bebas terbang laksana burung,
Terikat hanya di tali cinta.

Kita bebas terbang laksana burung, Terikat hanya di tali
cinta.”

Happy 53rd Merdeka, Malaysia!

Yashica MG-1 Random Shots

Pictures were shot at various places around Kuala Kangsar.
Some may ask why am I taking these random shots.
And why?
The answer is simple.
It's because I like it.

The Days of The Analogue

The pictures were all taken using aYashica MG-1.
An old rangefinder camera from the 1975.
The one I bought from an antique seller at Arena Square, Kuala Kangsar during the Perak Water Festival.
That day, was a day I'll never forget.
And so I have the old camera as a memento.

The camera though old, it still looks nice and functioning well.
As a film camera, the pictures sure surprised me after having it processed and scanned.
Well you know, you won't know how the picture looks like the moment you snap it.
Even with some damage to the film of an unknown cause, all that I can say is,
I'm pretty much satisfied.
P/S: The light leaks, I am not sure where it came from. I'm sure that I didn't open the back cover when there's a film. I need more time experimenting to figure it out.

Palace Moments : The Dinner

Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar Royal Palace

The Fifth Formers.
Dinner inside Istana Iskandariah,
Along with the Royal Highness, the Sultan of Perak
and Raja Muda Perak.
There's nothing that I could say is enough to describe it.
Of having the opportunity to step my feet inside this palace,
It just made me felt so lucky.

meddled with his cam.

A new Prologue.

A vision. A light. Rays of the morning sun shines through the grilled casement windows of the room. Diverging into streaks, it emanated throughout the room. A room, once was dark is now illuminated. A mind, once was in a deadlock blank emptiness of the damned darkness is now enlightened by a vision. The vision of hope. The future.

After all these tumultuous years, he now awakens. Regaining back his hidden sane consciousness, he realised something. He is no longer in a delusion. He's finally out from his deluded world in his misled mind. The redolence of this sheer reality is just too perfect. In his mind, there is a faint sigh. A sigh of satisfaction. He felt a solace.

Welcome back,
says the persona.

The Piece

The author is in a rummage for his new self.
He's on the path of aversion from his parochial-minded self.
Wait for his next piece.
